Science in Nursery

In Nursery, science is taught through 'Knowledge of the World' as part of the Early Years Foundation Stage Profile. Learning in this area is child led so topics can change depending on the children's interests and discoveries throughout the year. Below you will find a list of topics that will be covered by the children during the different terms within their time in Nursery. However, their curiosity and learning will not be limited to these topics. The teaching staff in the nursery classrooms will follow the children's curiosity and explore their questions and discoveries. Nursery will also look at seasonal change throughout the year to observe the changes first hand as the seasons and weather change.
