Lunch time Monitors

Year 5 and 6 children are given the opportunity to apply to take on the role of Lunchtime Monitor.

The role involves the successful candidates taking on a selection of lunchtime roles to support their peers and the lunchtime team of staff.

Servers

Children take on the role of working alongside the kitchen team to serve school dinners in the Key Stage 2 Hall. The role involves working a part of a team, communicating with staff in the kitchen and service with a smile to the hungry customers!

Outdoor Toy Monitor

This role involves taking out the Key Stage 2 lunchtime play equipment. It requires children to be well organised, punctual and confident. Successful candidates receive basic training in conflict resolution so that they can promote safe, happy play at lunchtime.

Play Leader

This role involves our Year 5 and 6 children spending their lunchtime on the Key Stage 1 playground. As role models, they will engage the younger children in positive play and help keep them safe and happy. Successful candidates are always kind and gentle, effective communicators with a strong sense of responsibility.
